A groundbreaking initiative is set to spotlight emerging professionals who are reshaping healthcare access and representation in medical research. The 40 Under 40 Health Equity Trailblazers award, launched by SpringWell360 LLC, will recognize forty exceptional leaders under age 40 who are making significant contributions to health equity in underserved communities.
The recognition program arrives at a critical time when representation in clinical trials remains a persistent challenge in medical research. Each selected honoree will receive a plaque acknowledging their achievements and dedication to improving healthcare outcomes in underrepresented populations.
Behind this initiative is Dr. Nadine Spring, a public health professor and certified clinical research professional who founded SpringWell360 after witnessing firsthand how the lack of diversity in clinical trials continues to create barriers to medical progress and widen health equity gaps.
The organization has established itself as a comprehensive resource for clinical research education and training. Beyond the recognition program, SpringWell360 offers specialized courses, one-on-one coaching for career advancement, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for research sites with an emphasis on inclusive trial participation.
Supporting these efforts is the company’s recently published book, Mastering Clinical Research – Pathway to a Six-Figure Career, which provides practical insights for students and early-career professionals entering the field. The organization also administers the Health Equity Grant, providing $1,000 awards to support projects addressing healthcare disparities. This year’s grant awardee is Suha Suleman Lalani, founder of PinkDetect. PinkDetect leverages technological innovation and grassroots action to transform breast cancer outcomes in underserved populations. In Pakistan, where 1 in 8 women will face breast cancer and nearly 89% of cases are diagnosed too late for effective treatment, PinkDetect is redefining access to early detection. SpringWell360 is honored to be able to support such important work. Additionally, SpringWell360 partners with clinical research sites to provide Good Clinical Practice training while emphasizing the critical importance of representation in clinical trials.

The impact of these initiatives has resonated throughout the clinical research community. Following a recent presentation, one participant shared their appreciation: “Thank you, Nadine! You were absolutely wonderful! I know the students benefited from your direct experience in clinical trials and entrepreneurship in clinical trial diversification.”
The 40 Under 40 Health Equity Trailblazers program represents a significant step in recognizing professionals who are working to ensure all communities are represented in the clinical studies that shape medical breakthroughs. By celebrating these leaders, SpringWell360 aims to inspire continued progress toward more inclusive and equitable healthcare research.
Applications are now being accepted for the inaugural class of honorees. Healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and other leaders under 40 who are actively working to advance health equity are encouraged to apply through the SpringWell360 website.
