Symphony Orchestra (MISO) will launch an exciting new initiative called “Reach for the Stars,” in collaboration with its newly appointed ambassador and member of MISO’s Global Advisory Board, Adesh Sewraz, a Mauritian businessman who will represent the orchestra in Africa and Asia.
The new foundation will initially focus on underprivileged children and youth in Miami and the state of Florida, providing them with greater opportunities to build a better future through MISO and the transformative power of music.
Maestro Eduardo Marturet stated, “We already have a youth program in place, but this new initiative takes our commitment to Miami’s youth to a whole new level.”
Ambassador Carolina Herrera, a member of MISO’s Global Advisory Board, expressed, “This is an extraordinary opportunity for MISO to expand its reach and gain greater global recognition.”
Renowned ambassador Andy Garcia added, “The future is in the hands of our children, and I can’t imagine a more important task than educating and inspiring them through music. Music is the soul’s most sublime companion.”
Adesh Sewraz commented, “I am familiar with the extraordinary work that MISO and Maestro Marturet do for underprivileged children in Miami. This new and dynamic ‘Reach for the Stars’ initiative will strengthen that work, fostering development and creating even more opportunities for young people in Miami and beyond.
