The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival will anchor in Manhattan’s historic Seaport neighborhood this fall, marking a significant shift for the acclaimed culinary event.
For the first time in its 18-year history, the festival will center its activities in Lower Manhattan, running from October 15 to 19. The move represents a return to “local, intimate roots” for the event, according to organizers who announced the change earlier this month.
Renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who operates over 60 restaurants worldwide including the Tin Building in the Seaport district, will serve as the festival’s culinary host. Vongerichten will curate chef collaborations and dining experiences throughout the five-day celebration.
“We are thrilled to bring our iconic Festival to the Seaport to create a unified, world-class culinary experience,” said Lee Brian Schrager, Festival Founder and Chief Communications Officer for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. “This is one of NYC’s most iconic neighborhoods and one we’ve always wanted to work with.”
The waterfront location will provide a backdrop for festival favorites including the Grand Tasting and various signature events, all offering views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge. According to organizers, the move to Lower Manhattan enhances accessibility with multiple subway lines serving the area.
Anton Nikodemus, Chairman and CEO of Seaport Entertainment Group, emphasized the significance of hosting the event. “The Seaport has long been a cornerstone of New York City’s rich history and cultural evolution. Welcoming the New York City Wine & Food Festival to the neighborhood marks a significant milestone for us and our community,” he said.
The festival also introduces new partnerships this year. The James Beard Foundation joins as a beneficiary, while Event Zero Foundation will serve as both host and beneficiary. Production partner a21 and Seaport Entertainment Group round out the collaborative team behind the 2025 event.
In previous years, the festival has featured unique events including drag brunches and Broadway-inspired gatherings, attracting food enthusiasts from across the region. The 2025 program promises multi-course dining experiences, pier parties, master classes, tastings and brunches.
Food Network maintains its position as the festival’s long-standing partner. Over its 17-year history, the event has generated more than $14.8 million in net proceeds for charitable causes.
The full program of events will be released on July 7, with tickets going on sale July 9 through the festival’s official website.
